The Montenegrin Guitar Duo will appear at the Baltic Guitar Festival in Lithuania this June.
The 2024 Baltic Guitar Festival will feature Tashmina artists the Montenegrin Guitar Duo as part of their roster of distinguished international artists.
Since 2009 the Baltic Guitar Festival has welcomed many of the leading exponents of the classical guitar to Birštonas, Lithuania. This year’s festival comprises four days of performances, competitions, masterclasses, exhibitions and lectures, and will take place from Jun 13th – 16th.
The Montenegrin Guitar Duo is frequently invited to prestigious international venues around the world, and is regularly engaged to give recitals, deliver lectures and masterclasses, and adjudicate important competitions by major presenters including Koblenz Guitar Festival, Festival Internacional de Musica y Danza de Granada, KotorArt Festival, Shaldon Festival, Ohrid Summer Festival, Guitar Foundation of America Convention, Istanbul Classical Guitar Festival, Guittaras del Mundo (Argentina), Qinling Mountains International Guitar Festival, Shenyang International Guitar Festival and Daejeon International Guitar Festival.
The duo will open the Festival with a programme that includes their arrangements of two French Suites by J.S.Bach and works by Piazzolla, Lanchares and De Falla. In addition to their performance, the duo will serve on the jury for the Festival’s Classical Guitar Competition, and will offer masterclasses for laureates of the competition.
