As part of their engagements in the UK this summer, the Wihan Quartet will give a special concert for the Ripon International Festival in Yorkshire.
Known as one of the leading string quartets to emerge from the great Czech school of performance in recent years, the Wihan Quartet has gained an extraordinary reputation for its interpretation of the Czech domestic repertoire and beyond.
Ripon International Festival has invited the quartet to give a Summer Celebrity Concert this year, as part of their rich programme of music, drama and literary events.
For their concert at the festival, the Quartet will perform Dvořák’s Quartet no. 12 in F major, op. 96, B. 179, American alongside Schubert’s Quartettsatz in C minor, D. 703 and Quartet in D minor, D. 810, Death and the Maiden.
