New Linos disc to feature on Scala Radio tomorrow

Tune in to Scala Radio tomorrow afternoon (Friday 7th April) to hear an excerpt from the Linos Piano Trio‘s brand new album ‘In Search of Lost Dance’.

Coinciding with the album’s digital release day, Linos’s music will be featured in the 1pm show with presenter Sam Hughes as part of Scala Radio’s ‘New Release Friday’. You can tune in live on the Scala Radio website.

‘In Search of Lost Dance’ presents the music of Ravel in a fascinating light, with the Linos Piano Trio performing on early-twentieth century period instruments and exploring Ravel’s own relationship with the past.

As well as the Piano Trio in A minor, the disc includes Linos’s own arrangements of Ravel’s Pavane pour une infante défunte and Le Tombeau de Couperin — an extension of their ‘Stolen Music’ project, in which the Linos players collaboratively re-imagines orchestral masterpieces as if they had been initially conceived for Piano Trio.

The disc is released by Cavi Music in partnership with German public broadcaster SWR, and sees its digital release tomorrow (Friday 7th April).
