Dame Imogen Cooper in conversation with Tim Horton

On the 26th April, Dame Imogen Cooper (Askonas Holt) and fellow pianist Tim Horton chat about the intricacies of life as a concert pianist. Tickets to the event are now on sale.

Musical Dialogue‘ is an event presented by Friends of St Mary’s, Kidlington in Oxfordshire as part of Cooper’s farewell tour, having recently announced her retirement from the concert platform after sixty years at the forefront of the international classical music scene.

During the conversation, the two pianists will reflect on their careers, which have encompassed performances at the world’s most revered venues and festivals and with major orchestras and leading chamber music collaborators.

This event comes during a season that sees Tim complete his critically acclaimed Chopin cycle at Wigmore Hall, and in which he will embark on his complete Beethoven sonata cycle at the Crucible in Sheffield. Throughout the evening, he and Dame Cooper will present selected recordings that will serve to illustrate this intimate glimpse into their musical world.

‘Musical Dialogues’ takes place at St. Mary’s, Kidlington on 26th April at 6pm. Tickets are available by following this link.
