Violist Rachel Roberts appears on an album that has placed in the top ten of the Official Specialist Classical Chart this week.

Chandos’ recent release ‘A Vision in a Dream: Concertos by Edward Gregson’ has reached the position of no. 9 in the chart, which tracks the sales and streams of new releases across the UK. The world premiere recording of Gregson’s viola concerto Three Goddesses is included on the disc, featuring Rachel as soloist with the BBC Philharmonic and conductor Ben Gerson.

Since its release earlier this month, the album has received consistent praise across the press, the performances being described as “fully attuned” by Gramophone and “superb” by the British Music Society. It has been broadcast by BBC Radio 3, and was selected by Gramophone as one of the best new classical recordings, being included in the Editor’s Choice feature in the December edition.
