Linos album to play on German radio

This Sunday, the Linos Piano Trio‘s latest CD ‘In Search of Lost Dance’ will be featured on German radio station Bremen Zwei.

The Trio’s recording of Ravel’s Pavane pour une infante défunte, in their own arrangement for piano trio, will play shortly after 8:45pm German time (7:45pm UK time) on Bremen Zwei’s classical music show ‘Klassikwelt’. Another track from the album will follow after the news: Le Tombeau de Couperin, another work by Ravel arranged specially by the Linos Piano Trio.

You can listen live this coming Sunday evening (30 April), and the programme will also be available online afterwards.

‘In Search of Lost Dance’ presents the music of Ravel in a fascinating light, with the Linos Piano Trio performing on early-twentieth century period instruments and exploring Ravel’s own relationship with the past.

Linos’s own arrangements of Ravel’s Pavane pour une infante défunte and Le Tombeau de Couperin are an extension of their ‘Stolen Music’ project, in which the Linos players collaboratively re-imagines orchestral masterpieces as if they had been initially conceived for Piano Trio. And the disc also includes Ravel’s iconic Piano Trio in A minor.

The disc was released digitally on 7th April by Cavi Music in partnership with German public broadcaster SWR.
