The Solem Quartet chat to Sean Rafferty about their ongoing residency at the Norfolk & Norwich Festival, ahead of their next two concerts on the 24th and 25th May.
Joined by the singer Alice Zawadzki, they will perform one of the Kate Bush songs specially arranged (commissioned by Norfolk & Norwich Festival) for string quartet and voice by Solem Quartet member William Newell. The full set will be performed at the festival’s late-night concert on the 24th May, Solem Quartet Late.
In Tune listeners will also be able to hear, for the very first time, part of Edmund Finnis’s new string Quartet, Devotions, commissioned by the Solem Quartet and receiving its premiere concert performance at the festival on the 25th May, as part of Beethoven Bartók Now: Life Episodes.
