… After the first intermission, the evening continued just as impressively for lovers of guitar music. Taking the stage was the Montenegrin Guitar Duo, comprised of two outstanding classical guitarists from Montenegro – Goran Krivokapić and Danijel Cerović. The duo, currently celebrating their 20th stage anniversary, are regularly invited to renowned international venues around the world.
“We are delighted to play for you today,” the guitarists assured the audience, announcing Johann Sebastian Bach’s French Suite No. 2 as their opening piece. “Bach originally composed this work for harpsichord, but we adapted it for our instruments,” they explained.
“Their flawless interplay, remarkable virtuosity, and delicate sensitivity were met with enthusiastic applause from the audience.”
The excitement only grew when they followed with a piece by Argentinian bandoneon player and composer Astor Piazzolla.
“Tension-filled, fast, and rhythmic – their fingers seemed to dance across the strings, with harmonics resonating throughout. It was a true pleasure to listen to them.”
And since the applause simply wouldn’t cease, the audience was treated to a wonderful encore…
