The Wigmore Soloists’ disc of Septets by Beethoven and Berwald, featuring violist Rachel Roberts, has been awarded the prestigious Diapaon d’Or for September 2023.

Released in May 2023 on BIS Records, the album pairs the Septets of Ludvig van Beethoven (1770-1827) and Franz Berwald (1796-1868), both scored for violin, viola, cello, double bass, clarinet, bassoon and horn.

Violist Rachel Roberts appears frequently with the Wigmore Soloists both on stage and on disc, amongst her busy schedule as one of Europe’s most in-demand chamber musicians.
