Trio Meister Raro‘s performance at this year’s Church Stretton Arts Festival reaches a wider audience in a new series of videos.
Recorded live at their headline performance at the Church Stretton Arts Festival, Trio Meister Raro can be heard in a new series of informal videos, which are now available on the Trio’s video page. More videos will follow in the coming weeks too.
The second movement of Robert Schumann’s Fantasiestücke, op. 73, performed by Robert Plane (clarinet) and Tim Horton (piano), can be heard alongside Joseph Holbrooke’s Nocture, op. 57 for clarinet, viola and piano, as well as excerpts from Edwin York Bowen’s Phantasie, op. 54, played by Rachel Roberts (viola) and Tim Horton.
The Trio’s concert took place on Monday 5 August at St. Laurence’s, Church Stretton in Shropshire. Formed in 2022, Trio Meister Raro was formed as a natural extension of the musicians’ work together as members of Ensemble 360, and has a core repertoire that is imbued with elements of storytelling and fantasy.
Their next performance takes place on 17 February 2025 at the Huddersfield Music Society, performing works by Huw Watkins, Bruch, Schumann, Mozart and Rebecca Clarke. More details may be found via this link.
