In a spring that sees him perform across the UK, Tim Horton will give a recital for Curry Rivel Music next month.
Tim will open the programme with Schubert’s Impromptu in F minor, D. 935 no 1, followed by Beethoven’s Piano Sonata no. 3 in C major, op. 2, no. 3. The second half of the concert is dedicated to the works of Frédéric Chopin, in which Tim will perform the Polonaise in F sharp minor, op. 44, Waltz in A flat major, op. 42 and Three Mazurkas, op. 56, before closing the concert with the Andante Spianato and Grand Polonaise, op. 22.
This concert affords listeners in the west an opportunity to hear Tim perform some of the repertoire with which he has had a deep ongoing relationship over the course of his celebrated solo career. Currently engaged in presenting his critically-acclaimed Chopin cycle at Wigmore Hall, he has also presented cycles of Beethoven, Schubert and Chopin’s works for Music in the Round in Sheffield.
Tim’s performance in Curry Rivel takes place on 25th April at 7pm in St. Andrew’s Church. For further details, please follow the link below.
