Solem Quartet at Cheltenham Music Society and RPS

The Solem Quartet looks forward to performing in the Cheltenham Music Society series at Pitville Pump Room on Saturday 22 January at 4pm.

Standing in for the Takács Quartet who had to postpone their European tour, the Solems will present quartets by Mendelssohn and Beethoven, either side of ’Sunrise’, a selection of short works and arrangements from their recent Orchid Classics disc ‘The Four Quarters’.

Tickets for the concert are available via the Cheltenham Town Hall box office.

Next month, the Solems are also pleased to be featured by the Royal Philharmonic Society as part of a new RPS series of open rehearsals. ‘Inside the String Quartet’ will be a free hour-long session in which audience members are invited to see how a string quartet works together in shaping music for the stage. The session takes place at St George’s, Bloomsbury, on Wednesday 9th February at 7:00pm.

Free tickets must be reserved in advance via the RPS website — RPS members have priority booking, before general release of tickets on Wednesday 19 January.
