Sally Beamish Afternoon at Ryedale Festival

Huw Wiggin and Somi Kim join the Elias Quartet, Catriona Mackay, Jessica Cale and Sally Beamish herself in a celebration of the composer’s music. Huw and Somi perform ‘Albatross’, an evocative and virtuosic work for saxophone and piano.

The complete programme of music for the concert today at Ryedale Festival is below. All of the pieces are by Sally Beamish apart from Farewell to Stromness which was written by Peter Maxwell Davies.
