Spring News

A rich vein of Russian repertoire runs through Robin Browning’s concerts this spring, starting with two masterworks: Rachmaninov Symphonic Dances and Shostakovich Symphony No 5 with the de Havilland Philharmonic Orchestra:

Robin celebrates Valentines evening with some of the most romantic and breath taking music by Kabalevsky, Bruch and Prokofiev (a selection from his sublime ballet Romeo and Juliet) with the Ernest Read Symphony Orchestra:

In March Robin conducts the Petersfield Orchestra in a programme of Berlioz, Tchaikovsky and Brahms and the sensational young virtuoso Ben Baker makes his debut with the de Havilland Philharmonic performing the Elgar Violin Concerto alongside works by Beethoven and Mendelssohn:

Following the orchestra’s sell-out launch, són continue their exploration of classical masterpieces in their ‘Unwrapped Series’. Discover why Beethoven dedicated his Eroica Symphony, his most important work so far, to Napoleon only to scratch out the dedication later. Delve beneath the surface of this incredible masterwork with Classic FM presenter and author John Suchet:

Robin welcomes Richard Uttley’s return to the de Havilland Philharmonic Orchestra for Brahms’ powerful Piano Concerto No 1, coupled with Tchaikovsky Symphony No 6 Pathetique. The programme opens with Brahms Tragic Overture:
