Robert Plane performs two clarinet concertos with London Mozart Players

Tonight, Robert Plane will give the world premiere performance of Judith Bingham’s Clarinet Concerto with the London Mozart Players at JAM on the Marsh in Kent.

Alongside Bingham’s new Concerto for Clarinet, Rob will also perform Aaron Copland’s heavily jazz-inspired Clarinet Concerto, a great showcase for his skill and flexibility as a performer. Rob is standing in for clarinettist Michael Collins who is indisposed, and will be joined by conductor Nicholas Cleobury to direct the London Mozart Players. LMP will also perform Debussy’s Danse sacrée et danse profane for strings and harp, and Grieg’s Holberg Suite in its string orchestra version.

The concert takes place at 7:00pm in St Nicholas Church, New Romney, and tickets are available via the Festival website.
