Rachel Roberts at the Oxford Chamber Music Festival

Shortly after her return from the Beverley Chamber Music Festival, where she collaborated with the Carducci Quartet, James Campbell and Martin Roscoe, Rachel is thoroughly looking forward to being part of this year’s Oxford Chamber Music Festival. This annual festival has been called “a musical miracle” by the Daily Telegraph and is renowned as being a place for musicians from across the globe to come together and collaborate.

The theme of the Festival this year is childhood and youth, and this final concert will focus on the extraordinary phenomenon of teenage composers. Extraordinary artists performing works composed by Rachmaninov, Britten, Sibelius, Strauss and Mendelssohn when they were just teenagers, promises to be an awe inspiring concert.

Rachel Roberts will be performing Britten’s Elegy for viola solo and is delighted to be part of this wonderful festival.
