Rachel Roberts at Concertgebouw Amsterdam

Violist Rachel Roberts looks forward to performing as part of a stellar chamber music line-up at Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw in December this year.

She will be performing Piano Quartets by Mahler and Brahms alongside violinist Daniel Rowland, cellist Maja Bogdanovic and pianist Nino Gvetadze, in a programme that also features music for piano trio by Haydn.

Rachel’s YouTube channel offers a varied flavour of her playing, featuring solo performances, various chamber music line-ups and collaborations, as well as excerpts from some of her award-winning albums. The December concert in Amsterdam includes the Brahms Piano Quartet no. 3 in C minor, op. 60, and in this video you can watch her performing the first movement of the Brahms Sonata for Viola & Piano in F minor Op.120/1 with pianist Tim Horton.

Another set of videos to hit her channel recently are the four movements of Schumann’s Märchenbilder Op. 113, courtesy of Conway Hall Sunday Concerts, after Rachel gave a recital there with Tim Horton in January 2021.

Tickets for Rachel’s Concertgebouw appearance in December are on sale and available via the Concertgebouw website.
