This year’s edition of the annual Presteigne Festival will take place online from 24th – 27th August.
The programme includes seven world premiere performances of works commissioned specially by the Presteigne Festival, alongside music by Beethoven, Britten, Janáček and Schubert, amongst others.
Featured performers include the Carducci Quartet, Amy Dickson, Christopher Good, Clare Hammond, Tim Horton, Mathilde Milwidsky, Bradley Smith and Oliver Wass. The final concert features members of Nova Music Opera, directed by George Vass, performing Ninfea Cruttwell-Reade’s ‘Reginald: The Musings of an Edwardian Gentleman’, with narration by Christopher Good.
The events will be premiered on the festival website over the four-day period, and will then be available to watch online until 31st December.
All the videos can be watched free of charge, but donations will be welcomed in aid of the Festival Futures fund, which underpins the Presteigne Festival’s commissioning programme, community engagement, and supports a new generation of young performers.
