Contemporary works by leading living composers sit alongside a programme of Baroque and Renaissance vocal music uniquely reimagined for voices and saxophones.
The combined forces of Corvus Consort and Ferio Saxophone Quartet look forward to a concert for Chiltern Arts in Henley on 26th February. The Chiltern Arts Festival Weekend opens with Tenebrae at Dorchester Abbey on Friday 25th February, followed by Corvus Consort and Ferio Saxophone Quartet’s concert on the Saturday.
Their programme will feature a first half of music from their core collaboration of Baroque vocal works re-imagined for voices and saxophones, and a second half of 20th- and 21st-century music, including a brand new arrangement of Vaughan Williams’s cantata In Windsor Forest, commissioned by Chiltern Arts specially for this concert.
The two ensembles have built a collaborative project which they look forward to presenting in concert and on disc in the coming seasons.
