Princeton, New Jersey—On Thursday, September 15 at 8 pm, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) presents The Seasons — Antonio Vivaldi’s popular The Four Seasons interwoven with Astor Piazzolla’s The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, arranged by Leonid Desyatnikov. The concert at Richardson Auditorium features Daniel Rowland as soloist and conductor, leading the PSO through Vivaldi’s vividly depicted scenery and Piazzolla’s soulful homage infused with passionate melodies and tango rhythms.
Each summer, Daniel Rowland performs and teaches at the renowned Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival in Finland. Described by the Financial Times as “this most remote and intense of international music events”, the festival will shortly welcome, once again, some of the very best musicians from around the world.

Don’t miss a beat of Daniel Rowland’s debut with the outstanding Ulster Orchestra as violin/director in a stunning performance of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons interleaved with Piazolla’s sultry and passionate, The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires (arr. Desyatnikov). Recorded last December in the vibrant acoustic the Ulster Hall in Belfast you can catch it on BBC iPlayer for the next 29 days.
Daniel thoroughly enjoyed working with the Ulster Orchestra just before Christmas as soloist/director for a performance of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons interleaved with Piazzola’s The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires. The sold out concert was extremely well received, with many audience members taking to Twitter after the performance to express how much they had enjoyed the experience.
Following his recent return from Poland, where he directed the Baltic Neopolis Orchestra in Sczecin, Daniel will be performing the Korngold Concerto with HET Symfonieorkest in Enschede at the end of this month.
