The Gould Piano Trio‘s in-depth conversation with host Petroc Trelawny on BBC Radio 3’s ‘In Tune’ can now be heard on BBC Sounds.
Ranging in scope from their new Schubert recording for Resonus to their performances this month in Cambridge and Scotland, the episode affords listeners the opportunity to hear from the members of the trio alongside clarinettist Robert Plane about their inspirations and current projects.
As part of the programme, the Trio gave performances live on-air of the second movement of Judith Weir’s Piano Trio no. 1, the second movement of Huw Watkins’ Four Fables with Robert Plane, and the first movement of Haydn’s Piano Trio no. 44 in E major. A track from their new album was also broadcast earlier in the episode.
